War 3100 Manual
Game Types
1. The Campaign Game will take you through 24 missions starting out easy and getting harder. This system also teaches you how to play the game as you progress.
2. The Skirmish Games let you play on maps you create against another local human, against the computer, or you can watch the computer play itself.
3. Games auto-save when you exit them while in-play (to take a call or quit or whatever). You can resume a game by selecting the type, and then Resume from the menu.
Mission Games
1. The Leaderboard is based on wins, losses, and missions completed in the campaign mode
2. The Leaderboard is updated every time you win or lose a game
3. You can play 3 levels on each mission game, normal, medium, and hard
4. You can view your stats in the Player Stats menu to see how you've done
Skirmish Games
1. You can play on mission maps
2. You can play on user generated maps
3. You can select the difficulty of the AI if playing against AI
4. You can select how much money each side starts with
5. You can select if Fog of War is turned on
Drop Pads
1. You win the game by capturing the enemy drop pads
2. Drop pads are where you call down units from orbit to use in combat
3. You use a drop pad by touching it and selecting Build from the command menu on the right
4. Each unit available to you costs drop points to build
5. If you do not have enough points you will not be allowed to build the unit
6. You take drop pads by sieging them
7. You get 2000 drop points per round per drop pad owned
Sieges
1. You can only siege drop pads with non-air vehicles
2. You siege faster with more units next to a drop pad
3. If an enemy gets next to a drop pad the siege resets
4. You can see the siege points tick down under the siege pad if it's under siege
Units
1. Heavy units can use shields that make them invulnerable until their next turn but they can do nothing in this state
2. Repair trucks can repair everyone next to them for 2 points but not themselves
3. Bomb bots blow up everyone around them AND themselves. This includes all friendlies too. They cannot blow up cities.
4. AA Jeeps, Phoenix Tanks, Destroyers, Battleships, Helicopters, and Bombers can shoot aircraft
5. Destroyers, Submarines, and Bombers can shoot submarines
6. All units can see a certain distance.
7. All units start with 10 health and gain 1 health every turn they are sentried.
Unit Movement
1. You can sentry a unit that has full movement left and has not attacked for a round.
2. Units regenerate their bullets and move points each round
3. Units start with a limited # of movement points each round
4. Units can move at different rates based on terrain (Except air and Navy)
5. Units can be skipped until selected if you touch select from the unit menu
6. All units with weapons can fire a certain distance. Some can fire farther than they can see, use scouts to help.
7. Touch move to see where you can move.
8. Touch move button once you have a move location selected to move there or double touch where you want to go.
9. Touch cancel to cancel your movement or touch another friendly unit to switch.
10. Aircraft take 2 turns to completely regenerate their movement points
Unit Combat
1. Units take into account the terrain they are on in combat
2. Battleships can fire twice
3. Units gain rank as they win in combat
4. Units with higher rank can hit harder and have better defense
5. Units that can climb mountains gain a range advantage
6. If a unit has bullets left it will fire back when attacked
7. Units that can still fire will have a bullet icon next to the unit
8. Units that have fired and have moved will be yellowed out
9. Touch cancel to exit combat
10. Touch fire to attack a selected unit or double touch them to attack
11. When you target another unit you will get a more detailed screen of the combat that will take place
